Privacy policy

Last updated 18 September 2026. Applies to the SpendCast Android app (com.satheesh.spendcast) and this website.

In short: SpendCast does not collect, upload or share any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your phone, and only you can see it.

1. Information you enter

To work, the app stores what you add, including:

All of it is saved in the app's local storage on your device. It is never sent to the developer, a server, a cloud service or any third party.

2. Financial information

Expenses, income and budgets say a lot about your life, so SpendCast keeps them on your device only. The developer cannot access, view or recover them.

SpendCast never connects to a bank, never reads SMS messages and has no access to any account of yours.

3. Permissions

SpendCast asks for very little. No permission is used to collect or transmit data.

4. Internet, analytics and third parties

The app works fully offline and sends none of your data anywhere. It contains no advertising or analytics tools.

When your phone is online, the app may load its fonts from Google Fonts. Some buttons open other apps: feedback opens your email app, and app links open Google Play. Those services have their own privacy policies.

5. Backups

Export / Backup creates a JSON file, and Export as CSV creates a spreadsheet file, both saved on your device. You decide where they go. They contain your spending history, so share them only with people you trust.

6. Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can delete it at any time:

Both permanently erase everything the app has stored. Because there is no account or server, no copy is held anywhere else.

7. Security

Your information is protected by your phone's own security. You can also turn on a 4-digit PIN lock in SpendCast Settings.

8. Children's privacy

SpendCast does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. No data is collected from any user.

9. This website

This website doesn't use forms or accounts. It may use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed and clicks. That information is not linked to the app or to anything you enter in it. See the Microsoft privacy statement.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
